May 18, 2014 – OLD WESTBURY, NY - With over 7,000 seats set in a clear span tent 320 feet long by 137 feet wide, there is literally no room to spare at the NYIT Commencement. When NYIT's Director of Event Planning and Hospitality, Jerry Limoncelli, asked for a solution to minimize space taken for Front of House cameras, Staging Techniques Bob Westerfield chose Camera Corps QBall cameras, not only for their size and flexibility, but to match the 720p that the event was running at.

The superior smoothness of motion combined with the range of zoom lent itself admirably to the occasion.

"The clarity of the projected images of NYIT President Edward Giuliano attest to the high caliber of the QBall cameras, the ability to capture not only action on the stage, but the procession of faculty and students as well made it seem as though we were using 5 cameras, not two." said Westerfield.

Bexel's robotics operator, Corey Noll, was a Maestro at the controls, as well as a quick learner, and all shots were composed quickly and brilliantly, adding to the high level of professionalism the event has strived for each year that Limoncelli has been at the helm.

Dignitaries included US Senator from New York, Charles Schumer as well as the Nassau County Color Guard and Bagpipe Corps. Westerfield thanks the New Jersey Bexel operation, especially Stephanie Doud, for the high quality of packaging and the commitment to the needs of the project.[sc name="news-footer"]
