August, 2014 – Burbank, CA - While Bexel is well known for supporting major broadcasters at some of the largest sporting events in the world, they are also helping to bring the excitement of the game directly to the fans at the homes of two of the NFL’s leading teams. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ EverBank Field and the Atlanta Falcon’s Georgia Dome are kicking off their seasons with “live camera” packages provided by Bexel.

As leading sports venues are investing in larger and more technologically advanced jumbotrons to increase fan interaction and enjoyment, they need top tier camera systems to support them.

“We’re supplying camera packages directly to the venues for a season-long rental period,” says Julia Rodgers, Strategic Accounts Manager for Bexel. “It’s much easier for the teams and venues to utilize our equipment for an entire season. They don’t have to pull gear out of their integrated systems week after week and ship it back and forth. It’s also on hand for special events beyond their home games, which is a big plus as well.”

Georgia Dome Productions is currently utilizing two Sony HDC-2500L camera chains, one wireless camera system (a RFX IMT wireless camera system onboard a Sony PMW-EX3), and SMPTE fiber cable for the Falcon home games and other events held in the stadium.

“The Sony with a long Canon lens is in the “slash” camera position, but it’s the wireless camera they are really having fun with,” notes Rodgers. “They’re using it for crowd shots, club level remotes, and they’ve even been able to get the team running through the tunnel, which is a great point of view they couldn’t get from a locked down camera position.”

The Jacksonville Jaguars are using two Sony HXC-100 HD system cameras, equipped with digital triax technology, and multiple lenses. “We were able to send the equipment in early enough for the Jaguars to integrate and test everything before their preseason games started,” Rodgers comments. “We’ll support them with whatever they need over the course of the season, so they won’t have to place multiple orders and deal with yet another variable.”Bexel’s solutions are completely scalable to support video production needs of all sizes.

“Bexel can support both the broadcast side of things and point of event activities,” concludes Rodgers. “We provide solutions wherever the workflows need to go. Hopefully we’ll be working with these teams to keep their jumbotrons running right through the playoffs.”
